Established in 2020, the Neya Global initiative has emerged as a response to the world pandemic crises arising due to dramatic loss of human life, international lockdowns, travel, and trade restrictions happening around the world.
It has already been a year since the beginning of the COVID’19 disease spread and we start witnessing the negative effects, losses, and damages the world has suffered for that period and keep suffering nowadays. The disruption caused to social and economic systems around the world is a catastrophe.
According to the Impact of COVID-19 on people's livelihoods, their health, and our food systems, tens of millions of people are at risk of falling into extreme poverty, while the number of undernourished people, estimated at 132 million by the end of the last year.
The most damaging effect was felt by developing countries, its businesses dependant on the tourist industry, the non-profit sector, which mostly relies on international help, donations, and volunteers coming from abroad to support charitable causes.
