Women Against Plastic Campaign | Environmental Awareness Education

Thailand knew worldwide for its beautiful beaches and peaceful nature, but not many people know that Thailand is the third biggest plastic polluter in the world. Despite there being an active initiative from the government to tackle the environmental issues, popularise recycling, and combat plastic pollution.  In Neya Global,we believe that the lack of education and awareness amongst local people, especially those who live in less developed areas or poor slum areas - are the key obstacles to tackling the issue of plastic pollution in Thailand.

On 9 September, Neya Global, with the Fountain of Life Women Center in Pattaya, launched the Environmental Awareness Campaign to educate vulnerable communities about the damaging effects of pollution on our environment and health. The campaign is part of the Environmental Awareness project, initiated, developed, and implemented by Ms. Anna Neya, Neya Global Education, Philanthropy, and Consulting.

Goals:

1. Educate vulnerable communities about environmental issues and reduce plastic pollution.

2. Development of environmentally friendly habits

3. Encourage plastic-free living through awareness raising and personal example

Empowerment through the action

Step 1 Educate the target group about the Environmental Problems
  • Education Course, 8 Sessions
Step 2 Take action
  • Inform the target group to collect the plastic from their homes and around areas and bring it to our center to recycle ♻️
Step 3 Take Responsibility
  • Go Plastic-Free in the Charity Centers
  • Avoid using single-use plastic, which is the biggest cause of plastic pollution.
  • Switch all plastic bags, plates, forks, and packaging to nonplastic alternatives. (Biodegradable plastic, carton, paper)

Step 4 Keep Raising Awareness of plastic-free living by reaching out to as many communities as possible.

Encourage sustainable living and environment protection habits
