Agricultural Activity in Si Racha Gardens | Sustainable living education for children
On May 20, 2022, I was invited to attend the agricultural activity in Si Racha Gardens located near Pattaya, Thailand. The activity formed part of the Sustainable Living Project managed by the Good Shepherd Sisters Thailand.
According to the COVID-19 pandemic statistics and the projected increase in financial needs among vulnerable populations worldwide, the aim of the Sustainable Living Project was to support women and children affected by the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Every month, staff team members together with Sister Piyachat and Sister Apinya visited the Si Racha garden to take care of the harvest and support the sustainability activities taking place within the project.
During the visit, we planted fruit trees and taught children how to plant lemongrass and home garden plants.
