About the Article

This article explores structured approaches to training and capacity building that equip staff and volunteers in faith-based organizations (FBOs) with cross-cultural communication skills. It examines curriculum design, mentorship, needs assessment, and evaluation frameworks, illustrating how empathy, inclusivity, language diversity, and digital tools can be integrated into practice. Case studies from Uganda, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Indonesia, and South Africa show how culturally relevant programs improve trust, participation, and organizational impact. By embedding training and continuous capacity development, FBOs can foster resilience, inclusivity, and long-term partnerships across diverse settings.
