About the Article
Technology is increasingly central to effective volunteer management, particularly in online and resource-constrained environments. This article examines criteria for selecting appropriate tools—including affordability, ease of use, accessibility, integration, and security—and explores platforms for communication, project management, training, engagement, and data analysis. Case studies from diverse regions illustrate how organizations employ WhatsApp, Zoom, Trello, VolunteerHub, and Google Data Studio to overcome resource limitations and strengthen volunteer engagement. Emphasis is placed on training, accessibility, and continuous feedback to ensure sustainability. By integrating digital platforms with low-tech solutions, non-profits can enhance communication, coordination, and data-informed decision-making, fostering efficiency and resilience in volunteer management.
