About the Article

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) plans are vital for non-profits to track progress, improve program effectiveness, and demonstrate accountability. This article introduces a structured M&E plan template that guides organizations through defining objectives, selecting indicators, establishing data collection methods and tools, and designing reporting mechanisms. Illustrated with a practical case study, the article shows how literacy and employment programs can be monitored with measurable indicators, surveys, interviews, and digital reporting. Adaptable to diverse contexts, including low-resource environments, the framework equips practitioners with tools for evidence-based decision-making, continuous improvement, and stronger accountability to stakeholders.
