About the Article
Digital literacy is a cornerstone of equitable participation in today’s interconnected world. This Teaching Paper presents a comprehensive curriculum for digital literacy training designed to equip community members with essential digital skills. The curriculum includes modules covering basic computer use, internet safety, social media engagement, online collaboration, content creation, and digital privacy. Each section is supported by practical notes that ensure adaptability to low-resource and culturally diverse settings. A case study illustrates how a community-based program in South Asia used the curriculum to empower women entrepreneurs and enhance participation in digital initiatives. By combining structured learning with flexible delivery, this resource provides educators, non-profits, and development practitioners with a replicable framework to design inclusive digital literacy programs that strengthen community engagement and empowerment.
