About the Paper

Reliable data collection is the foundation of meaningful Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in non-profit programs. This Teaching Paper introduces three practical tools—a survey questionnaire template, an interview guide, and a focus group discussion (FGD) guide—that organizations can adapt to their specific contexts. Each tool is accompanied by structure, application notes, and practical guidance to ensure clarity, validity, and cultural sensitivity.
