About the Article

Effective curriculum development is vital for non-profit organizations seeking to deliver impactful training programs that are aligned with strategic goals and community needs. This article introduces two practical tools—a Curriculum Planning Worksheet and a Lesson Plan Template—grounded in instructional design theory and experiential learning. By providing structured formats for defining objectives, outlining modules, designing activities, and integrating assessment methods, the worksheets enable even resource-constrained organizations to design high-quality, mission-driven training. A case study illustrates how a grassroots NGO applied these tools to create a youth leadership program, demonstrating that structured curriculum design enhances learning consistency, engagement, and measurable outcomes.
