About the Article
Non-profits in developing countries and low-resource areas face distinct challenges requiring tailored resource strategies. This article examines four domains: accessing diverse funding opportunities, building organizational capacity, adapting approaches to local cultural and socio-economic contexts, and fostering collaborative networks. Drawing on case studies in health, education, water, and environmental initiatives, it demonstrates how diversified funding portfolios, governance reforms, cultural adaptation, and coalition-building can enhance resilience. The analysis concludes that sustainable growth in low-resource contexts requires balancing financial diversification with context-sensitive and network-based approaches.
