About the Article

Resilience in non-profit organisations is a systemic, multi-level capability that integrates psychological, organisational, and structural adaptation. This article synthesises insights from individual, team, organisational, and systemic perspectives to outline a comprehensive framework for institutionalising resilience across the non-profit sector. Individual resilience relies on coping strategies, reflective practice, and self-efficacy; team resilience develops through trust, psychological safety, and shared leadership; organisational resilience depends on adaptive governance, workload regulation, and well-being policies; and systemic resilience arises from collaborative networks that pool knowledge and resources. By bridging these dimensions, resilience becomes both a personal strength and an institutional asset. The article calls for longitudinal, cross-cultural, and technologically informed research to deepen understanding and offers practical recommendations for integrating resilience into governance, leadership training, and funding strategies. By embedding adaptability at every level, non-profits can ensure mission integrity, operational continuity, and sustainable social impact in complex and uncertain global environments.
