About the Article
Corporate–non-profit partnerships face structural and relational challenges that, if unmanaged, can erode trust and effectiveness. This article examines common obstacles—including misaligned goals, communication gaps, resource constraints, and cultural differences—before presenting strategies for conflict resolution, adaptability, and proactive risk management. Drawing on theory and case studies from sectors such as health, water, and education, it illustrates how open dialogue, mediation, and interest-based negotiation can transform disputes into opportunities. Flexibility and adaptability are shown to be essential for navigating funding shifts and evolving community needs, while systematic risk assessments and mitigation planning strengthen resilience. For practitioners, the article provides actionable tools to align interests, manage risks, and sustain partnerships; for academics, it contributes to discussions on cross-sector governance and resilience under uncertainty.
