About the Article

Digital technologies have reshaped how non-profits mobilize resources, making online fundraising a core strategy for engagement and sustainability. This article explores the foundations of online community fundraising, including website optimization, crowdfunding platforms, social media strategies, and email marketing. It emphasizes how compelling storytelling, multimedia integration, and user-friendly design cultivate trust and participation. Tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, and Canva are discussed as ways to streamline campaign management, while crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe, Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and JustGiving are analyzed for their reach and adaptability. Barriers such as digital divides and low literacy are critically examined, with adaptive solutions—SMS-based giving, mobile-first design, and offline integration—highlighted as pathways to inclusivity. Bridging theory and practice, the article argues that online fundraising is not only about immediate donations but also about building resilient, inclusive, and sustainable non-profit communities.
