This article explores the legal and ethical foundations of conflict resolution in religious contexts, focusing on frameworks that ensure fairness, accountability, and legitimacy. It analyzes international, national, and local legal structures alongside ethical principles such as impartiality, integrity, equity, and confidentiality. Case studies from Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Canada, Northern Ireland, and Indonesia illustrate how legal standards and ethical practices interact with cultural traditions to support sustainable resolution. Special emphasis is placed on expanding access to justice in low-resource contexts through legal clinics, mobile units, and NGO partnerships. The article concludes that integrating strong legal frameworks with ethical integrity and cultural sensitivity is essential to building trust and ensuring durable peace.
