About the Article
The ability of non-profit organizations to identify and secure corporate partners is essential for achieving sustainability and scaling social impact. This article examines systematic methods for partner identification, including the use of corporate reports, online databases, social media, and stakeholder mapping. It highlights evaluation frameworks based on values alignment, financial stability, and reputation, while emphasizing the importance of clear value propositions and targeted prospect lists. Practical challenges for non-profits in low-resource environments are critically analyzed, with strategies for overcoming barriers through networking, local engagement, and capacity building. A case study of BRAC in Uganda illustrates how structured, values-driven approaches can lead to transformative partnerships. By linking theory with practice, the article argues that identifying potential corporate partners is a strategic process that shapes long-term organizational resilience and community development outcomes.
