About the Article

This article explores the emerging trends reshaping training and development in non-profit organizations. It analyzes the rise of personalized learning approaches—adaptive, micro, experiential, and social—alongside technological innovations such as mobile learning, learning management systems (LMS), gamification, artificial intelligence, and immersive VR/AR tools. The study highlights the expansion of remote and hybrid training models, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the growing integration of sustainability into training design through low-carbon delivery and environmentally focused curricula. Case studies from Kenya, India, Brazil, Rwanda, South Africa, and the Philippines demonstrate how these trends enhance inclusivity, flexibility, and long-term impact. The article argues that non-profits that strategically adopt continuous learning, technological adaptation, and sustainability practices will be better positioned to strengthen organizational capacity, engage participants, and achieve mission-driven goals.
