About the Article
Ethics in non-profit consulting are inseparable from trust, accountability, and legitimacy in organizations that serve vulnerable communities. This article examines core principles of ethical consulting—integrity, accountability, transparency, fairness, and cultural competence—and shows how they shape trust-building, inclusive governance, and long-term sustainability.
Through illustrative practices and case examples, it highlights dilemmas around conflicts of interest, data protection, and equitable contracting, while exploring emerging challenges linked to digital transformation, globalization, and sustainability. The analysis concludes that ethical consulting is not optional but foundational: it safeguards organizational credibility, strengthens relationships with stakeholders, and enables responsible adaptation to complex social, technological, and environmental shifts.
