About the Article
This article examines how digital tools transform cross-cultural communication for faith-based organizations (FBOs). It analyzes the role of mobile phones, social media, online collaboration platforms, and virtual events in transcending geographic boundaries and engaging diverse communities. Case studies from Ghana, the Philippines, South Africa, Brazil, India, Nigeria, and Afghanistan show how digital tools foster inclusion, strengthen trust, and expand participation across health, education, agriculture, and peacebuilding initiatives. The discussion highlights opportunities and limitations—addressing issues such as accessibility, digital literacy, and cultural adaptation—and argues that technology must complement, not replace, human connection. For academics, this provides insight into the intersection of digital innovation and intercultural communication theory. For practitioners, it offers actionable strategies to embed technology in culturally sensitive ways that sustain trust and collaboration.
