About the Article

The success of non-profit organizations in forming corporate collaborations often hinges on the quality of their partnership proposals. This article presents a structured framework for developing persuasive proposals that align non-profit missions with corporate objectives. It highlights the importance of clarity, customization, and mutual benefit, detailing essential elements such as executive summaries, needs assessments, SMART objectives, implementation plans, budgets, and impact metrics. Emphasis is placed on tailoring proposals to corporate social responsibility (CSR) priorities, demonstrating shared value, and incorporating storytelling and visuals to engage decision-makers. Case examples from global practice illustrate how strategic proposals can secure resources, expertise, and long-term engagement. For non-profits, particularly in low-resource contexts, adopting structured and values-driven approaches to proposal development increases the likelihood of sustainable corporate collaborations.
