About the Article
Effective crisis communication requires systematic preparation, structured frameworks, and context-sensitive strategies. This article examines the development of comprehensive Crisis Communication Plans (CCPs) across organizational settings, emphasizing applicability in both resource-rich and low-resource environments. Core elements include establishing dedicated Crisis Communication Teams, conducting risk assessments, defining communication protocols, and tailoring messages to stakeholders’ needs. Case studies—from community radio and mobile alerts in disaster-prone regions to volunteer network engagement during the Ebola outbreak—demonstrate practical implementation.
