About the Article

Corporate partnerships are not secured through a single agreement but through sustained relationship-building practices that require strategy, consistency, and mutual commitment. This article explores approaches for initiating and maintaining productive relationships between non-profits and corporations, highlighting outreach, rapport-building, transparency, and employee involvement as key factors in long-term success. Drawing on case studies from India, Kenya, Africa, and Latin America, it demonstrates how shared goals, trust, and volunteer engagement transform initial agreements into enduring collaborations. Challenges such as sustaining corporate interest over time and aligning employee volunteer programs with organizational needs are critically analyzed, with practical strategies for overcoming them. For academics and practitioners alike, the findings emphasize that relationship management is not peripheral but central to corporate collaboration, enhancing both non-profit sustainability and corporate credibility.
